9 Frame Analysis

The video I am analyzing is While She Sleep's "Be(lie)ve"

The video is set in a run down room, which fits the setting of the music as it being very agressive, so it would be like a pop video where everything is hyper-real.

The video itself is focused on the stage performance of the band, as you can see from the frames i have took from it, it is centered around the singer, having a lot of meat shots of him, but also there are a lot of close up shots of the other band member breaking that convention of the singer being the focal point of the band.

The video also has a break from the performance of the band, as it show a group of men (third frame) running with weapons in hand to an unknown target, possibly symbolizing them wanting to take a stand against something but they don't know what it is.

The seventh frame is a visual representation of the lyrics because at that point the lyrics are "Fuck the law, we wrote the order." with the singer putting his middle finger up at the camera he is visually enhancing the lyrics that he is singing at the same time.
